I am a marketing specialist and creative entrepreneur in the design industry, with extensive experience in client relationship management, business and skills development and operations. I’m a board chairperson and community activist.

Of all the titles, the one I hold in highest esteem is that of “mom.”

Through Professionals and Business for Change and its programmes, I am an active participant in crafting the kind of South Africa where ALL children can grow, thrive and reach their fullest potential irrespective of their accident of birth.

Nalene Pillay

Head of Community & Development

I am a property entrepreneur and community leader with over 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, specialising in international banking and learning and development across Africa.

I am passionate about empowering people, developing leaders, and driving meaningful social impact. Through Professionals and Business for Change, I am committed to fostering collaboration between professionals, businesses, and communities to build a more inclusive, ethical, and prosperous South Africa.

Sandile Mkhize

Head of Information Technology

I am an unmanned aviation R&D professional with a background in financial management and data analysis, combining analytical thinking with technical problem-solving to drive smart, accessible information strategies.

Following a spinal cord injury, I became an accessibility activists with a large focus of economic empowerment for Persons living with disabilities. Beyond technology, my passion lies in disability rights advocacy using my journey to promote accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities across technical and professional fields.

Matlhodi Matsei

Head of Research & Advocacy

I am a macroeconomist with over a decade of experience in economic research, forecasting, and policy analysis across the financial services and development sectors. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of the structural challenges facing South Africa's economy.

At PBC, I lead our Cost of Living research agenda, developing the Cost of Living Dashboard and monthly inflation monitor to provide professionals and businesses with the insights they need to navigate an increasingly complex economic landscape.

I am driven by a commitment to building a South Africa where all can thrive, and no one is left behind.
